CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Chattanooga chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) honored BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee for its “Bioterrorism Preparedness Initiative” Campaign at the recent Incline Awards ceremony.

The campaign received top honors in the public service program category, as well as the award for best of show.

The Incline Awards, presented annually since 2000, recognize the best in public relations, communications and marketing practices. Entries were judged on the merit of the individual program or project, including originality, the goals and objectives of the project/program and whether it was cost effective.

In the Bioterrorism Preparedness Campaign, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee partnered with the BlueCross BlueShield Association and U.S. Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn., to provide Tennesseans with accurate information about biological threats and the knowledge to stay healthy and safe.

More than 1,500 BlueCross members, state health officials and community leaders received copies of Sen. Frist’s bioterrorism guidebook, “When Every Moment Counts.”
