Chattanooga, Tenn. — BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has named Roy Vaughn Director of Communications. In that role, Vaughn will be responsible for public affairs, media relations, government and internal communications.

Vaughn was previously a partner at Nashville-based public relations firm KVBPR, which has served BlueCross for nine years. Vaughn serves on the Executive Committee of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Counselors Academy and is certified for his special expertise in crisis prevention and management. He has also earned the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) designation, which is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession and to its ethical practice.
