BlueCross Selects Maki as Regional Sales Director for West Tennessee
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has selected John Maki as regional sales director for the West Tennessee region.|
Maki will be responsible for overseeing sales efforts for groups ranging between two and 500 employees and will remain the lead for major account prospects in the same area.
“John has extensive knowledge of health care financing, especially in the West Tennessee market,” said Don Lawhorn, vice president of sales for BlueCross. “Our clients and brokers will benefit tremendously from his varied industry experience and as a member of the BlueCross team.”
A lifelong Memphis resident, Maki began his BlueCross tenure in 2005 as a large group sales executive in the West Tennessee region. He was promoted to regional sales executive for West Tennessee in 2008. Before coming to BlueCross, Maki was director of key accounts for United Healthcare and a large group sales representative for Humana. He has over 14 years in the sales industry.
Maki has served on various charitable committees including the Leukemia Society, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Baptist Healthcare Foundation and the Methodist Healthcare Foundation. He has also been chosen to participate in the Leadership Memphis program in 2010.
Maki lives in Memphis with his wife Heather along with their children Olivia and Logan.
