CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Kimberly Greene has been promoted to director of financial reporting and tax for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. A certified public accountant, Greene is responsible for external financial reporting, accounting and tax planning and reporting.

“During her short time with BlueCross, Kim has demonstrated strong technical accounting knowledge and a willingness to work hard,” said Ralph Woodard, vice president, controller and chief accounting officer for BlueCross. “I look forward to working with her in this new role.”

Greene has been with BlueCross since 2008. Prior to her promotion, she served as manager for model audit rule compliance. In this position she oversaw BlueCross’ initial and continued compliance with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Model Audit Rule requirement.

Before joining BlueCross, Greene was external reporting manager for Propex Inc., where she oversaw external financial reporting, including reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Greene graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and Institute of Management Accountants.
