CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Terri L. Cade has been hired as director of CHOICES program services by Volunteer State Health Plan. CHOICES is TennCare’s program for long-term care services.

In this role, Cade is responsible for overseeing the coordination and use of more home-based options for meeting the long-term care needs of the state’s elderly and adults with physical or intellectual disabilities.

“Terri has years of experience that have equipped her with the knowledge to lead the CHOICES team’s efforts, as the program grows,” said Judy Slagle, vice president and chief operating officer for VSHP. “We are pleased to have someone as talented and passionate as Terri leading our team as they work to arrange and provide access to health care for some of our state’s most vulnerable citizens.”

Prior to joining Volunteer State Health Plan, Cade worked for Emblem Health in the areas of new program implementation and long-term care management. She has earned a degree in nursing from New Mexico State University. She holds various clinical and management certifications.
