NCQA Says BlueCross is Excellent
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Commercial PPO product line has received “Excellent” accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for the third consecutive year, with an average score of 92 out of 100 points across all criteria.|
This rating combines scores that assess standards and performance measurements such as member satisfaction and quality of care, and is part of NCQA’s Health Plan Accreditation.

Organizations that earn “Excellent” status, NCQA’s highest accreditation, meet or exceed rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement for customer service and clinical quality.
Health plans seeking accreditation face a rigorous test of more than 60 standards and must report on their performance in more than 40 areas in order to earn NCQA’s seal of approval.
