Employee Publication Series Addresses Vital Patient Issues
Employers with BlueCross BlueShield group coverage can use their own employee publications to share important information with their employees about the cost issue and various aspects of patient care. The "Being A Better Patient" series is available to accounts for use in their internal communications media. Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Steven Coulter, M.D., wrote the series that is designed to help health plan members become more knowledgeable consumers of healthcare services. Additional topics will be addressed in the future, and group administrators will be notified when new articles are available. Each article is on an 8½ x 11inch ready-to-use layout. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee group accounts are invited to print the articles and insert them into their employee publications. Accounts that do not have an employee publication may want to use the articles as handouts or payroll stuffers. They are designed for use as a publication page or as a stand-alone document.
