Give employees a choice of health plan options. Create 2-3 combinations of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee's health plans and provider networks so employees can choose the coverage that best suits their individual needs.
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Create health plan options
Design health plan options based on specifications such number of employees, copay and deductible amounts, coinsurance and maximum out-of-pocket cost. It's a good idea to provide employees with variety - such as one plan option with rich benefits and another that is more affordable.
Step 2: Add provider networks
Choose a network for each plan option.
Step 3: Determine health plan choices
Your benefit combinations and choice of provider network determines both the plan coverage and cost. Create two or three plan options that provide the choice between richer benefits and lower cost.
Here's an example of a Multi-Plan package for a group of 26+ employees. Notice the difference in plan specifics so that there is a choice between more benefits and lower premium.
