With a BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee individual PPO plan, you have the freedom to choose doctors and hospitals - whether they participate in our Blue Networks or not. In fact, you may use any licensed doctor or hospital, but keep in mind that you receive higher benefits when you use a provider who participates in your plan's specific BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Blue Network (P, S, C or K). Visiting a doctor or hospital outside of your plan's specific Blue Network will result in higher out-of-pocket cost to you.
