BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee pharmacy plans use two different formularies -- lists of covered drugs. Maximize your benefits by learning more about the medications covered by your plan.

• Preferred Drug List (Standard Formulary)
• Limited Formulary

If you’re not sure which drug lists your plan uses, check your BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee member ID card. It will say “Limited Formulary” in the second line of information if your plan uses the Limited Formulary. If no formulary is listed, your plan uses the Preferred Drug List (Standard Formulary).

If you have an HSA-compatible, high-deductible health plan (HDHP), you may have an enhanced benefit that includes the Preventive Drug List. Instead of having to meet your HDHP’s deductible for certain prescription drugs, you just pay a copay for medications on the Preventive Drug List. Not sure if your HDHP features the Preventive Drug List? Check your benefit materials or call Customer Service at the number listed on your BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee member ID card.
