Your time is valuable. Home delivery allows prescriptions to be delivered by mail directly to your home in plain, tamper-evident packaging. Home delivery service:

Getting Started

CVS Caremark Mail Service

Getting started with home delivery service from CVS Caremark is easy.   FastStart® is the quick and convenient way for you to fill a new prescription without taking a trip to the doctor’s office.  This service can be used for your first home delivery prescription order.

You have two options to get started:
By Internet
1. Log in to Caremark.com and sign in or register if necessary
2. Click on Start a New Prescription and then click on FastStart®
3. Fill in your information

By Phone
1. Call FastStart toll-free at 1-866-443-9159 * Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (CT)
2. Let the representative know you wish to fill your prescription through mail service
3. Provide the representative the information on your member ID card; the names of your long-term medicines; your doctor’s name and phone number; and your payment information and mailing address

Walgreens
There are two ways to register for and order your first prescription through Walgreens mail order service:

Online: Register at WalgreensMail.com.  
From the registration confirmation page, follow the instructions to submit your new prescription.

By phone: Call the Walgreens Customer Care Center at 1-877-380-8077 and have your insurance information ready.

Additional ordering options after registration:
Ask your provider to fax or e-prescribe your new prescription. *

  • Fax: Log in to your online account to print a prescriber fax form. Give the form to your provider to complete and fax to the number listed on the form. *
  • E-prescribe: If your provider has the technology to submit prescriptions electronically, request that he or she do so. *

Your doctor will be contacted regarding your prescription. If your doctor authorizes the prescription, your medication will be mailed to you. You will receive the medication 10 to 14 days from the time your order is received.

Via Mail

You can also send your prescription order via mail. All you have to do is…

  • Get a written prescription from your doctor for up to a three-month supply of your medication, with three refills, if appropriate.
  • Print and complete the CVS Caremark or Walgreens mail order service form
  • Mail the completed form along with your new prescription to the address listed at the bottom of the form.
  • You will receive your medication, along with information about your medication, within 10 to 14 days from the time your order is received.

Refills Are Simple

If you already enjoy the benefits of prescription home delivery, it’s simple to order your medication refills. Request refills online at Caremark.com or by phone at 1-877-683-6837, or online at WalgreensMail.com or by phone at 1-877-380-8077. Both are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To refill your prescription online or by phone, you will need:

  • Your prescription number
  • Your five digit zip code
  • Your credit card number and expiration date
