Like runners, walkers need to stretch before and after exercising. Why? According to The American Council on Exercise (ACE), stretching offers these benefits:

  1. It decreases muscle stiffness and increases range of motion.
  2. May reduce your risk of injury.
  3. Helps relieve post-exercise aches and pains.
