Learn About Blue Network M℠

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has teamed with MissionPoint Health Partners to offer Blue Network M, paired with the statewide Blue Network S℠ as a Dual Network. The 2,200 providers and facilities in Network M emphasize patient-focused care that includes preventive services, health coaching and health navigation. Network M providers also typically cost less than Network S providers.

If you’re living in the Nashville area and looking for prevention-focused health services with a personal touch, then Blue Network M might be right for you.

How does getting care in Network M work?

  • If you choose a provider or facility in Network M, then you will typically pay lower copays, deductibles or coinsurance amounts.
  • You can also see the 31,000 providers in the statewide Blue Network S, and get the same benefits as Network S members.

Want to find out if your doctors are in-network?

Use the Find a Doctor Tool on our myBlue TN℠ mobile app to see if your doctor or hospital is in network. You can also call us at 1-800-565-9140.

How to Use Networks to Get the Most Out of Your Benefits:

  • Doctors and hospitals in your network offer specially negotiated rates for services—so you will pay a lower copay amount when you use them.
  • If you use a doctor or hospital that is not in your network, you will pay more for your care and BlueCross will pay less. This applies even in an emergency situation, so it helps to know which local health care facilities are in network.
  • If you use a doctor or hospital that is not in your network, you'll also pay the difference between what the doctor charges for care and what BlueCross agreed to pay (also known as balance billing) when you go out of network. To avoid higher costs, confirm your doctor, hospital or urgent care facility is in your network before receiving care.
