Know About Prior Authorization

Beginning Jan. 1, 2010, prior authorization is required for endometrial ablation and hysteroscopy. If your doctor recommends one of these procedures, please make sure he or she requests prior authorization. This is important, because if you live outside of Tennessee and use a doctor in your area, you may be responsible for the procedure costs if prior authorization is not requested.
