Know your employees’ rights and responsibilities

CoverTN knows it’s important for your employees to understand how their health plan works. As a plan member they have the right to:

  • Be treated with respect
  • The right to choose their doctor
  • Contact CoverTN with any questions about their care
  • Talk with their doctor about their treatment
  • Voice a complaint about their care

CoverTN and your employee’s doctor will work together to provide treatment. In order to provide the best treatment your employee will need to do the following:

  • Be honest about his or her health condition
  • Follow plans for care from his or her doctor
  • Take his or her medicine as it is prescribed
  • Use the hospital emergency rooms only for emergencies
  • Read the booklets and papers from his or her doctor

By working together with your employee’s doctor and CoverTN your employee can meet their treatment goals.
