Are you and your employees doing everything you can to screen for breast cancer?

Regular mammograms are still the best tests to find breast cancer early. Mammograms are X-rays of the breast. Mammograms won't find every cancer. But they sometimes find lumps or tumors years before they can be felt.

Everyone is different. You and your employees should ask your health care providers when to schedule a mammogram.

Does Your Enrolled Employee Need Maternity Coverage?

Maternity benefits are not included as a benefit under CoverTN. Members who become pregnant should take the following stepexpectant couples:

  • Contact CoverKids as soon as she knows she is pregnant. CoverKids will determine if she is eligible for TennCare OR HealthyTNBabies during the pregnancy. The CoverKids Customer Service toll-free number is 1-866-620-8864.

Reminder: Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Notices

As a participating CoverTN employer, you are required to fund both your third and your employee's third of the required premium through the bank draft process. The State pays the final third. You must withhold your employee's third through payroll deduction.

  • If CoverTN receives a notice of NSF from your financial institution for a premium payment, we will contact you, the participating employer by phone.

It's important that your enrolled employees remember the rules and limits of their CoverTN health plan. The chart below highlights some of them. For a complete listing, members should review their Schedule of Benefits which is Attachment C of their Member Handbook. They can also find this information at bcbst.com. Go to the Plan Options tab at the top of the page and choose Cover Tennessee from the drop-down menu.
