Your Employees Should Know Their Member Rights:

Independent Reviews of Medical Necessity Decisions

As BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee members, your employees have the right to request a review of medical necessity decisions by an independent third party. They can learn more about how their specific benefit plan handles requests for independent reviews in the benefit material (Member Handbook) or Evidence of Coverage. They were mailed a copy of the Member Handbook. Or they can check the latest version online at bcbst.com/members/cover-tennessee.
