CoverTN Coverage ends December 31, 2013

As the State of Tennessee has notified you in several letters, CoverTN coverage will not be available starting January 1, 2014.


In order for us to close out the program:

  • CoverTN employers can no longer add new hires to the plan.
  • Your employees can no longer add a spouse to coverage.
  • Applications or change requests sent to CoverTN cannot be processed.

Remind your employees that getting vaccinated is the best protection against the flu

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone six months and older.

  • People age 65 and older
  • Children younger than five years old
  • Pregnant women
  • People with long-term or serious health conditions including asthma, diabetes and chronic lung disease

You have the right to file a complaint if you think you are not getting fair treatment. By law, no one can get back at you for filing a complaint.

Reminder: Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Notices

As a participating CoverTN employer, you are required to fund both your third and your employee’s third of the required premium through the bank draft process. The State pays the final third. You must withhold your employee’s third through payroll deduction.
