Members Can Expect Easier-to-Read Letters
As a health care coverage broker, you are aware that the details of plans, benefits and other insurance components that are often included in letters to our members can be quite confusing. And, with the many changes found within the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, members are being exposed to new terms and vocabulary in their health care coverage. We believe that an informed health care consumer is a smarter health care consumer; so we are making our member communications simpler and easier to understand.
A large percentage of the member correspondence used by our utilization management, case management and membership functions has been simplified to help our members better understand their coverage options and benefits. These updated letters will replace the previous versions beginning immediately. We will continue to evaluate all of our member communications with the primary goal of keeping members well-informed, not simply notified, about their health care coverage.
