BlueCare is a product underwritten by Volunteer State Health Plan, Inc., (VSHP) and provides medical care for its TennCare members. BlueCare is a Primary Care Provider (PCP)-driven Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) network.

TennCareSelect is the State’s self-insured TennCare HMO that is available to select TennCare enrollees. It is administered by VSHP. In addition to serving select populations, TennCareSelect is the State’s safety net network for the TennCare Program.

BlueAdvantage PFFS
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee offers one Medicare Advantage Private Fee For Service (PFFS) product effective January 1, 2012. BlueAdvantage Gold is available in Clay, Cumberland, Fentress and Putnam Counties.  .

BlueAdvantage PPO
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee offers four Medicare Advantage Local Preferred Provider Organization (LPPO) products effective January 1, 2012. These products are BlueAdvantage Diamond, BlueAdvantage Garnet, BlueAdvantage Ruby and BlueAdvantage Sapphire.


The BlueCard Program links participating health care providers and the independent BlueCross and/or BlueShield plans across the country and around the world through a single electronic network for claims processing and reimbursement.
