Mandatory Open Enrollment is September 12, 2026 – October 31, 2026 for all Active and Retired employees. To maintain benefits coverage for 2027, you must actively enroll during the Open Enrollment period. If you do not make your benefit elections, you will not have coverage for 2027.

Coverage for everyday life
City of Memphis offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, pharmacy, dental and vision through BlueCross. Since BlueCross provides all your benefits, you get the ease of having everything on just one ID card. You can choose from two medical plan options, including the Select Plan that features a lower monthly premium.
The Select Plan could be right for you if you want to save money on your monthly premiums. Plus, you'll get access to an HRA to help with deductibles and other health care costs.
The Choice plan has a lower monthly premium, but higher deductible and coinsurance amounts than the Select plan. It might be a good option for you if you don’t go to the doctor very often.
Our dental plan includes two exams and cleanings per year, X-rays, fillings and other services with access to the largest dental network in the nation.
We know prescriptions can make up a large part of your health care spending. Prescription coverage is included with each plan to help you manage those costs.
