Blue Benefits Bulletin

New Features Available on BlueCross’ Mobile Web

Earlier this month BlueCross launched the second phase of its mobile website with enhanced features and conveniences. Members can already locate a doctor and check benefits and balances with ease, but phase two takes it to a new level.

Because mobile internet usage is predicted to exceed desktop internet use by 2014, BlueCross continues to develop and enhance mobile web and app experiences for members. Based on member feedback, the initial focus is on providing easy access to key plan information and helpful tools that enable them to make better health care decisions on the go. Functionalities of the BlueCross mobile web include:

  • Find a Doctor (GPS)
  • View Claims
  • Drug Finder
  • Get a Quote

For more details on phase two features click here.

The BlueCross mobile website is currently optimized for Droid, iPhone and Blackberry. Members can access the site by typing in bcbst.com into their mobile device’s web browser, or by visiting our mobile  web information page and scanning the QR code.
Note: Personal health information is secure and can only be accessed by using a BlueAccess® user name/password. Without that information, no one can access a member’s personal data, so information is safe if a mobile phone is lost or stolen.

If you or your groups have questions about the mobile website, please contact Jennifer_tedeschi@bcbst.com.
